If you like to have more information about updates and how you install them and where they are on your system, use the older version. I didn't like the new interface in the "Updated" version as it did not allow the level of control and provide the information about the updates and locations on your system.
The old version uses the same database as the new so no missed updates or omissions. Just a diffrent interface. Hope this helps.
